ST BRIGIDS CHURCH - COOGEE

2013 - 2016 Conservation Works St Brigids Church $3.6m: The works to this heritage listed building included the reconstruction of the external brickwork re-using the original bricks, replacing the slate to the roof and refurbishment of the interior. The works also included the reconstruction of the original dome to the 8 storey tower.

HERITAGE CONSERVATION

Design and documentation of conservation works to heritage listed buildings for project delivery by lump sum tender and contract or construction management.

HOUSE NUMERO UNO

1986 Tuggeranong ACT: This brick and terracotta house designed with passive solar principles and the Commonwealth Experimental Building Station 'Notes on the Science of Building', with influence from the federal capital style and Edwin Lutyens 

NET ZERO FOR NEW SOUTH WALES

Since 2020 CLW Architecture and Engineering has been assisting the New South Wales Government in achieving their net zero emissions goals for 2030: 

  • Development of a Building Design Guide for the Department of Premier, Industry and Environment;

  • Assessment of heritage impact for solar panel installation for courthouses for the Department of Community and Justice; and

  • Assessment of heritage impact for solar for 3 Sport and Recreation Centres in Regional NSW.

ST BRIGIDS PRESBYTERY

2012 -2013 $1.4m - This existing 3 storey victorian terrace was refurbished and partly reconstructed to provide a residence with chapel for the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. The refurbishment included new roof tiling, sarking, insulation, external painting, reconstructed front and rear balconies, new kitchen, laundry and bathroom.

RESIDENTIAL

 clw|ARCHITECTURE|ENGINEERING has completed a number of residential projects in Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra:

  • Single dwelling including additions;

  • Additions for heritage listed houses;

  • Student accommodation; and 

  • Residential apartments.

CULTURAL HERITAGE

Services provided include:

  • Additions and adaptive reuse;

  • Heritage impact statements;

  • Heritage conservation management plans; and

  • Archival photographic recordings.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Interior design services for residential and commercial fitouts:

  • University;

  • Retails; and 

  • Residential.

Our Firm

Based in Sydney and founded in 2000 as Chris Legge-Wilkinson - Architect, clw|ARCHITECTURE|ENGINEERING strives to to provide a complete architectural and engineering design solutions for small to medium sized projects. No matter what project we’re designing, we always aim to make a difference in the built environment. We work in residential, education, health and sport and recreation. We have experience in retail, government, and defence sectors.
